Mark and Jayne Brewster live in Lewiston, Idaho, where they serve with Life Impact Ministries, an organization that focuses on ministering to those in ministry. In 2014, after pastoring Orchards Community Church in Lewiston for 30 years, Mark and Jayne began their ministry to the pastors and ministry leaders in their community and surrounding region. Born out of relationships developed with pastors during his years of shepherding his own congregation, Mark now serves as the “pastor to the pastors”, and also brings shepherds together for mutual encouragement.
Mark and Jayne have been married since 1978, and have four children and five grandchildren. They are both graduates of Multnomah University (formerly, Multnomah School of the Bible) in Portland. Additionally, they are both International Coaching Federation certified coaches. Mark is also a graduate of Western Seminary in Portland and is a trained spiritual director.
They know from their own experience how easily and subtly the pressures, demands, and busyness in ministry can slowly and subtly deplete the soul. That’s why their greatest passion is for the soul health of pastors and ministry leaders. It is the key to healthy churches and ministries.
Cedar Springs has had a special place in their hearts since before they were married. Jayne’s parents, John and Katherine Bargen, were the founders and original developers of the ministry. Over the years, Cedar Springs has been a special place for Mark and Jayne, not only for family visits, but as a place for them to draw near to the Lord for spiritual renewal. This summer, they are looking forward to playing a part in what the Lord is doing through the ministry of Cedar Springs.
